Pawleys Island, SC
Drifting Tides Collection
One summer morning, I woke up early to go for a walk on the beach in Pawleys Island like I had done so many times before.
But this time, when I came up from behind the dunes, I saw something unusual. The high tide had made the most fascinating patterns in the sand—I’d never seen anything like it before.
I knew if I wanted to capture this phenomenon I had to act quickly before the tide came in to wash it all away. Fortunately, I had my camera with me and was able to preserve this brilliant display of nature’s abstract art.
